The case for a real container

Pouches outlive their original tin.

The cardboard or thin-plastic can a pouch ships in is sized for one trip from shelf to pocket. Once you're carrying it around water, sand, or pressure for a few sessions, the seal stops seating and the contents follow. A purpose-built waterproof nicotine pouch container exists for the same reason a dive housing exists — keep the cargo dry, give it somewhere honest to live.

KaheLock is the same object as our waterproof nicotine pouch case — different word, same hardware. For the surf-specific cut, see nicotine pouch case for surfing.

How it's built

Sealed by design.

A dual silicone O-ring keeps rain, splash, and spray out — the same idea as a dive housing. Single-start threaded closure (M45 main, M42 disposal port) so it seats correctly with one twist, even cold or gloved. Body floats while sealed. Matte UV-stabilised PP exterior with grip flutes and rim scallops — no exposed hinges to clog with sand.

Two cavities: a fresh chamber for 5 to 8 pouches and a dedicated sealed disposal cup, so spent pouches never touch fresh ones.

Where it lives

Surf, beach, boat, fishing, hiking, gym.

We started with surfers because they were the loudest about the problem. The container works anywhere a standard tin doesn't.

Surf

Wet boardshorts and the long walk back to the truck.

Beach

Sand, towel pockets, the rinse before driving home.

Boat

Spray, deck washdowns, drybag overflow.

Fishing

Wet hands, bait coolers, tackle trays.

Hiking

Pack sweat, rain, river crossings.

Gym

Sweat, water-bottle leaks, locker shelves.
