The closure is a single-start thread with a single silicone O-ring — engineered for static + dynamic sealing. No latch to bump open, no hinge to fail.

Will salt water damage it over time?

The body is 3D-printed ASA — UV-stable and built to shrug off salt and UV. The silicone O-ring (AS568-035, VMQ 70A) is spec'd for marine duty.

Is it compatible with my pouch brand?

Sized around the standard nicotine pouch format used by Zyn, VELO, On!, Rogue, and similarly shaped pouches. Holds 5–7 fresh plus a sealed disposal compartment. Not affiliated with any of those brands.

The pocket problem

Wet boardshorts are a hostile environment.

Boardshort pockets exist to drain — not to protect. Anything you put in one is going to be flushed, ground against sand, and compressed when you paddle. A standard pouch tin doesn't survive that loop.

Saltwater finds every seam. The fix is a real compression seal — a single silicone O-ring on a continuous flange, not a snap-fit lip.

Sand doesn't damage the case; it damages the seal. So the exterior has no exposed hinges, and octagon flats wipe grit off the threaded mating surface every time you close it.

Wipeouts deliver tumbling pressure and tend to dislodge anything loose in a pocket. The octagon shape sits low, the threaded closure is engineered for static and dynamic sealing, and the case is positively buoyant if it ever escapes.
